The Cure announce 2023 US tour

English rock band The Cure have announced they will be heading out on North American run for the 2023 Songs of a Lost World Tour. The tour follows the 2022 European dates and takes place this summer with Twilight Sad as the opening act.

The 3o date run includes three nights at the Hollywood Bowl and Madison Square Garden. This marks the first US tour the band has played since 2016, besides some festival shows in 2019 such as the Austin City Limits Festival.

Tickets will be available on Wednesday March 15th and fans will be required to register to access tickets. The Cure has made a promise to fans to offer fair and affordable pricing without scalpers reselling for high prices. Fans are able to register for up to five different shows, and the registration closes on Monday March 13th at 10am. Tickets are sold on Ticketmaster Verified Fan and if you are unable to attend, you can resell you tickets on a face value ticket exchange.

The band is also set to release a new album, and while there is no release date yet, Smith has said the album is called “Songs of a Lost World”. This will be the band’s fourteenth studio album and follows 2008’s album “4:13 Dream”.

In 2019 The Cure were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame by Trent Reznor. After many years of band member changes, the longest running members remains as Smith, followed by bassist Simon Gallup.
