Metallica have debuted the title track of their upcoming album “72 Seasons”. The band also released the official music video directed by Tim Saccenti which was filmed in Los Angeles, CA, on February 12, 2023.
The seven and a half minute track is the fourth single to be released from the band’s upcoming eleventh studio album. The previous singles include “If Darkness Had a Son”, “Screaming Suicide”, and “Lux Æterna”.
“72 Seasons” will be the band’s eleventh studio album and follows their 2016 release of “Hardwired… To Self Destruct”. “72 Seasons” will be release on April 14th, and follows their 2013 Hardwired… to Self-Destruct, featuring 12 tracks totaling over 77 minutes.
Metallica is also giving fans an opportunity to attend the 72 Seasons Global Premiere on April 13th. The worldwide listening party takes place in over 2,100 movie theaters. Tickets for the one night event are on sale now here.
Metallica heads out on their M72 World tour this April kicking off in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Multiple artists will support the band depending on the date, such as Five Finger Death Punch, Mammoth WVH, Ice Nine Kills, and Pantera.
